We moved today to Monroe, Evergreen Fairgrounds & Speedway near Snohomish.
After setting up, cousin Melody picked us up to go to lunch at a Mexican restaurant on a small lake. She is a bundle of energy and as silly & fun as her sisters said she was. There were lots of stories and catching up to do. This is another first cousin that Larry had never met before today. She was unable to attend the Family Reunion two years ago because of work. She is the sister to the four Kemp siblings we had dinner with last week.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere as we were sitting on the patio overlooking the small lake. It made for the perfect temperature in the shade. There were red shouldered blackbirds on the shore serenading us.
After lunch we walked around a couple shops then stopped by Melody’s house to check on her little dog. She has a lovely home in a rural area with trees all around and a small creek running at the back of her property. She has a beautiful setting for a back yard. It was a shame that her husband Rocky is away at their cabin but maybe we can meet him next year when we come through. We invited Melody & her tiny min-pin both back to our coach to chat and for our puppies to play. They seemed to enjoy one another.
In the evening, we went to Cherie & Chris' trailer on Lake Connor for a while. I am still trying to get used to the late sunsets. It feels so early with the sun still shining high at 9 p.m.
