Sarah and Denis go diving

Sarah with the second dive site behind her

Heading back from the islands to Nha Trang after a hard morning's...

The sea was too rough to swim in

So we came here instead, where if you buy their coffee and...

You can swim in their pool

Or you can sit under an umbrella & do like the Vietnamese...

After a gentle 8 hour bus ride we arrived in Nha Trang, found lodgings and then booked ourselves to dive. After leaving Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) the weather got steadily worse and by the time we got to Nha Trang it was grey and rainy. Boo hoo! What a shame, the sea was too rough to swim in, so we had to console ourselves with a pizza and some more Vietnamese wine.

The diving itself wasn't that great, visibility only 5-8 metres and on the first dive we saw less than 10 fish in 45 minutes. The second dive was better, more fish and really unusual coral. But on the whole if this is Vietnam's premier diving locale then Vietnam isn't really worth diving in, well not worth a special trip to do so anyway.

The food in Nha Trang was good as we had too many noodles and spring rolls in HCMC and so aswell as pizza, we had mexican and also a curry (different nights). We only stayed 2 days as the weather wasn't that good and we didn't want to dive again here. So on up the coast again to Hoi An. Still solid.
