(Ron Writing) Yesterday we brought plates of cookies to a couple friends that live here at North Ranch. We ended up spending a couple hours over at Jim and Marilyn’s house visiting with them and another couple. Very nice time.

This morning we attended worship service at the Community Presbyterian Church in Yarnell, AZ. This was our first time attending this church and we found it to be a very friendly congregation. In fact we knew several of the members since about 30% of the congregation lives at North Ranch. After the service we attended their fellowship hour and enjoyed coffee and cookies while we got to know a few more people. The hade the largest spread of home made Christmas cookies we’ve ever seen!

We went to church in Yarnell today because it is right on our way to Prescott. After church we drove to Prescott and did a little shopping before heading over to my sister’s house in Prescott Valley, AZ. We plan to spend a few days here to take care of doctors appointments and to spend Christmas with my sister. She was born on Christmas day so we have two reasons to celebrate!

The weather was beautiful today but the forecast is for rain and/or snow for the next few days. I wonder if we’ll have a white Christmas.
