Santa Fe Trail

Route 50

Overcast, Cold and Windy!

Arkansas River

We are ready to leave Garden City. It is not our best exit from town.

It is Sunday. We have an IHOP breakfast. We stop at a closed Verizon store. We turn around to get gas. Finally, we head west on Route 50.

It is very windy and cold! We cross into Colorado. We are in the Mountain Time zone. We follow the Santa Fe Trail.

After an hour and a half, we are ready for a break. We make our normal Walmart stop in Lamar, Colorado.

On the outskirts of Lamar the RV acts up again. We pull over. We turn around and head back to an O’Reilly’s. We get some information but we need to get to a repair shop and a computer. However, today is Sunday.

There is an old KOA on the outskirts of town. The RV is now running well again.

The problem may have to do with the days of rain we have been driving in. Route 50 is a truck route. This is the place to be to get things checked out.

I always wanted to visit Lamar, Colorado!
