The McKee's Great Adventure travel blog

Happy Valentines Day.

We left baks around 8:00 am and went on 166 to Buellton. We stopped at Cuyama and had breakfast, it was pretty good. The drive was nice, the road is windy so I just took it slow. The scenery is pretty. We arrived at Flying Flags around 11:30 am. Check was pleasant and the staff is very helpful. Gave us some fresh cookies and escorted us to our site. The site was easy to get into, plenty long for Moho and roki. Site has a BBQ grill and fire pit.

Relaxed and then did some more relaxing.

We made an awesome Valentines dinner. Filet mignon, scallops, shrimp and baked potatoes. We met a guy named Lynn. He is a retired vocational instructor from Avenal State Prison. He and his wife don't full time, but they said they would like to.

We had a fire and watched the TV on the outside of the Moho. What a cool feature. I really want to get Dish, that way if we have the music channels we can listen to tunes outside also.

The weather was perfect, 71 degrees. Off to Solvang tomorrow.
