The President who made Jelly Bellies famous was President Ronald Reagan. And his favorite flavor was licorice. The blueberry Jelly Belly was created especially for him once he became President so he could always have "Red, White and Blue" Jelly Bellies in the White House. He even had them on Air Force One and the Jelly Belly factory created a special holder for the Jelly Bellies to sit in so they wouldn't fall off his desk during take off and landing. Have you been able to come up with a new flavor?

Also if you guessed "the City by the Bay" is San Francisco, you are correct. It has many famous things in addition to the 2 we saw. San Francisco has the crookedest street (Lombard Street), Alcatraz Island (a former prison which began as a fort to protect the bay), Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown (the largest chinatown outside Asia), cable cars, Haight-Ashbury (which was the center of the hippie movement of the 1960's) and more than 50 steep hills within the city limits. In 1906 three quarters of the city was destroyed by an earthquake which started many fires that burned for days because they had no water to fight the fires. More than half of San Francisco's people ended up homeless. However, the people quickly rebuilt the city and many of the old Victorian houses that were built after the quake are still standing and in beautiful condition today.
