To see a different side of Cambodia that you normally wouldn't see via bus or train, Jamie and I chose to take the boat ride to our next destination, Battambang. Spent 8-9 hours sitting on the top deck squashed in with locals and other tourists. The ride was very interesting to say the least. We went past a few floating villages that made for some great photo opportunities, and all the village kids in the watr and on the hill would scream hi to you and wave. I'm sure a routine they look forward to daily. Almost clipped a few small boats and got stuck a few times making our way through shrubbage.

After we docked it took Jamie and I to find a $6 hotel to book 2 nights for. (That's $3 a person by the way.) Came with fridge, cable tv, 2 twin beds, but no hot water. That's a luxury anyway!
