Arrived in San Antonio on Sunday, April 18. The drive was very pleasant. Texas is basically a flat state, no hills, got great gas mileage. The scenery was nice. Most homes along the highway are a long way from the road.

There are wild flowers growing along the interstate as you get close to San Antonio. There are large patches of yellow, orange, and blue and sometimes red in the median and along the side of the road. Beautiful.

We went to The Alamo, The Riverwalk, and the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum on the 19th. That was a lot of walking for us. My feet still hurt. Luckily it was cloudy that day and cool. The Alamo was very interesting. The gardens there are beautiful. There was a parade at Riverwalk that night but we watched it on TV, much more relaxing and with a better view.

We will be driving around today the 20th, seeing the local sites. We will be leaving tomorrow for the next stop.
