Watching the sun rise on the rock.
Sunrise on The Rock
Looks easy!
Wandering around Kata-Tjuta for over two hours gives you a better appreciation for the land out here than the Rock does. Still, all worth seeing.

"Watching the sun rise on the rock" - One of the many organised tours in this region is watching the sunrise on Uluru. I started to walk around the road to get a feel for how many people had come out this morning, and turned back after about five-minutes walk. I didn't find the end of the line!
"Sunrise on The Rock" - I took a lot of photo's during this time and I could not find one to do the image justice. It is a pretty spectacular sight. (It is a pity I couldn't get over the people though.)
"Looks easy!" - This is the start of the walk up The Rock.
"Not so easy!" - It was considerably harder work climbing than I thought it would be but the reward at the top was worth the effort.
"Near the top (1)" - Just one of the views from the top of The Rock. It is looking toward Kata-Tjuta.
"Near the top (2)" - View looking the other way. The wind was really howling up the side of The Rock from this direction; so strongly that we decided not to proceed any further towards the actual top.
"Yes, I was there" - Just a token photo to demonstrate that I was actually there. ;-)
"The heart of Kata-Tjuta" - Again, the photo doesn't do the subject justice, but as we clambered up the rock path where I am standing to take this photo, this is the view we were presented with. It is a breath-taking view of the interior of Kata-Tjuta about an hour into the two-and-a-half-hour walk through the place.
