What an experience! Busan, S. Korea is the 2nd largest city in S. Korea. From what I have seen so far it is clean.
I could not believe it, they have tolls here!! The first toll cost 400 won and the second one was 800 won, the equivelent of about 4 and 8 cents.
Even better, they have a big dig here! Except theirs is clean, Busan's big dig is 3 times the size as the one in Boston, and their ceiling tiles are not falling from the ceiling and leaking water either.
I arrived in Busan at 8:35 PM, I had exactly 1 1/2 hours to get from the Pusan Airport thru customs, in a taxi and to the train terminal. The people I came in contact with were so nice and helpful, my taxi driver got me to the train station with 8 minutes to get all the way into the terminal, get my boarding pass, and get down stairs to the tracks.
My driver ran thru the train station with my luggage in hand yelling bali bali at me.....so funny, but we made it with 1 minute to spare.
The train ride took me thru many towns to my final destination of Seoul. Happily Matthew was standing right there waiting on me.
My entire day was spend traveling in planes, trains and taxis, a total of 24 hours. Needless to say I am exhausted!
Pictures to come!
