China 2008, Wedding, Wall and more travel blog

First up, apologies for the slow updates, Tony left his laptop power cord at home but one of Nikki's friends bought his computer. But don't worry I've been keeping notes :P

Today after the slow start i got on the plane in my luxurious business class sky bed and elegant menu and whatever you want to drink. Please excuse my bad spelling but (as you will read later) my pretty nails are not so good for typing...

Upon arrival in Hong Kong I headed off to the hotel, via the international language of "grunt and point" and was pleasatly suprised to be upgraded to a "harbour view suite"(good choice on hotel Cheryl) which was a two roomspace with awesome views of the harbour. InHong KOng at 8pm everynight there is a huge light show on the harbour with all the buildings involved and I got to my room at about 5 to 8, read the letter tellng me about the lightsand saw the view...

Then I headed off for a walk through the bright lights of HOng Kong... for someone whos normally very confident I was surprised at how unsure of everything I was and I think I will enjoy it more at the end of my tour when I'm with other people ora bit more confident in what is a very foreign situation (I don't really know what I expected)

So I wandered along Nathan Rd,and was assailed by the constant cries of "copy handbag, copy watch" with hawkers trying to lure you into their stall. The next morning it was all the tailors wanting to make me beautiful suits.. all well and good but I only had an hour and I really don't need anything...

I was also trying to decide if I was brave enough to eat and in the end went back to the hotel and had some cshews... and then in the morning went for 'safe' old MacDonalds... I've been more adventurous in the food stakes in China...

SO it was a good stopover, As i've said, I think I'll enjoy it on the way home and be a bit more confident.
