Spent one night in Lathrop State Park near Walsenburg, CO. This is the oldest state park in CO. Walsenburg has a large spanish population so we decided mexican food was in order for dinner. Wrong! While the food was fresh and well prepared the main ingredient seem to be hot peppers.
It stormed that evening - there is something awesome about storms in the mountains, makes a person feel very small.
Across the street from the Park entrance was an impressive new Veterans hospital and clinic.
Next stop Colorado Springs.
