Soapbox rally

Yesterday, being Bank Holiday Monday was quite chaotic around York, so we just wandered around. There was a soapbox rally on for most of the day with around 45 entrants.

We watched a few of them do their thing - all raising money for different charities.

We had lunch at Pizza Hut and then decided that was enough for the day so had a quiet afternoon where I finished the jigsaw Tony bought me for my birthday.

This morning we went off to the Railway Museum, which is free entry and is another fantastic museum.

So we spent around 3 hours wandering around, and then came back for lunch and sat down for a while before heading off for another hour's walk around the gardens.

And passed the place where Guy Fawkes was born.
