River Ouse - tides out

HOws this for a haystack? We passed a few of this size yesterday.

Last night we moored at the visitor moorings at Rawmarsh Bridge

which houses this Marina - about as far away for snapagators as you could possibly be!!

This is the latest in pets on board a barge - the guy has a brown hen and this silky bantam cock. They just jump on and off the boat and wander around the grassy verges giving him an egg every day.

3 rows of wind turbines looked very impressive.

For the next little while we will be playing on the river with boats of this size - out of the very big lock at 0645 in the morning.

We only just scraped in to the fuel point here between 2 very big barges - a bit of manouvering but eventually we made it.

We went for a short walk and had a look at the river - tide out and still flowing out quite quickly.

Ready for an intersting day tomorrow.
