We had moved the day before to a campground near the small town of Bormes les Mimosas. It was an interesting exercise getting into our pitch, with Tony having to back from the reception area but once we were in we were fine.

Our first day saw us exploring the town of Bormes les Mimosas. There was three parts of the town, the old village in the hills, the modern commercial area and then the beach and port area. The old village was really lovely with narrow cobbled streets opening into small squares all enhanced by the lush vegetation and for once the village was all neat and tidy. We drove through the commercial area of the town just noting where the essential local supermarkets were. We then explored the port and beaches. You could tell it out of season all the bars and restaurants were closed.
