The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Through the hills of Pennsylvania.

Back in Ohio a year later with his 'friend' this time.

Set up next to sister Shirley and Ken's 5th wheel.

Traveling wears Sugar out. She loves the grass.

On the edge of Lake Erie.

Empty beach on a cold rainy day.

Having a picnic on the banks of the Grand River below the...

The covered bridge.

Its been here a while.

This bar out in the country has been here a while also.

Yet another covered bridge.

And yet another.

Lake Erie is a little angry today.

You get a cold shower if you stand to close.

We are in Ashtabula, Ohio. It is a harbor town on Lake Erie. We were here last year. Diana's sister lives in Florida and has a 5th wheel set up in a seasonal campground on the lake. Ken grew up here and knows the area well. It was fun to visit and sit back and relax for a few days.

We visited a few covered bridges that we missed last year. I don't think it got above 70 degrees the 5 days we were here. It was cold, damp, and rainy. One evening we had a large downpour with lots of lightning and thunder.

Can't wait for some sunshiny days so we can warm up. Next week we may be complaining about the heat.

From here we are going to Columbus for a few days.
