elevation for Sunday

trains

We got off to a very slow start morning for our trip to Albuquerque. Ed is not feeling well because of the cold weather, snow and high plains winds. For Me I really enjoyed the drive because of the painted desert and the gradual climb to about 7500 feet elevation, and down to about 5000 FT. in Albuquerque. More especially I like the trains from BNSF, trains that parallel I-40 our entire trip across today. They have two tracks and we had an opportunity to watch them going easy and west. I'm sure we Saw at least 30 different train sets, pulling hundreds of trailers on a Piggy back haulers. In spree of all of these trailers on the railroad there are still thousands of tractor and trailers on The I-40 corridors and remember we are traveling Saturday and Sunday, usually on the east coast, most tractor and trailers are not on the roads over the weekend. My guess the western freight needs to be on the east coast by week start or mid week. trying again to download photos with little luck. I'll keep trying.
