|Last night was very interesting due to the weather. Between the wind and rain all night, it was fun. Got out of Vidalia early to start on the Natchez Trace Parkway. This a National Park Service road that reaches from Natchez Mississippi to Nashville Tennessee, total 444 miles. It is a park road so there is nothing on the parkway, you need to get off in one of the little towns near the parkway if you need something. We drove to Tupelo Mississippi, where Elvis was born. The drive was very relaxing because the speed limit is 50 mph and the rangers watch the speed, not much traffic.
Candy at the visitor center.
The is about all you see on the drive.
April 2011 a Tornado came thu the parkway.
This some of the damage.
Last picture of damage.
I went about 5 miles jumping back and forth across the road. What a mess.
Got to the campground around 4 pm and call it a day.
