It's a little bit chilly up here in the Sierra Nevada mountain...

We are about to drive into the clouds!

We are headed up there... to Donner Pass.

Will took these shots through the window as we drove towards Donner...

Pretty, chilly, and refreshing up here in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Over the last three days we have seen some beautiful areas of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, had Clyde’s oil changed in Stockton, eaten enough fresh cherries from the roadside fruit stands to burst, and are now settled in for the night in Truckee at the Coachland RV Park. Thankfully, after those 11 days of recovering in Coarsegold, Will’s back seems to be doing fine now that we are back on the road.

Part of our drive today took us through Donner Pass where we saw plenty of snow still glistening on the ground. We even saw one snow recreation area which is still open and I offered Willis a chance to go learn snowboarding but he just shook his head and sighed at me.

We will be heading to Lake Tahoe tomorrow. I am hoping the weather will clear up and give us some sunshine so we can see the pretty blue water that Tahoe is known for. In the meantime, we are enjoying this cool mountain air and quiet RV park.

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
