A very big thankyou to the Shea family (Tim, Amanda, Ashleigh and Carrie) who took time out of their very busy holiday schedule to drive from Luton airport to Skipton to visit us.
Arriving just after midnight they were a tired lot - they've been travelling around Europe for the last couple of weeks. They had to be in London this evening by 8pm, so we took them for a trip on the canal towards Gargrave. We went through a few swing gates and the first lock where we then turned around and stounch before returning to Skipton.
We had a great day and some laughs even though it started off rainy and a bit cooler than it has been recently. But the rain finally stopped and we had our jackets off after lunch.
Tim did some very good steering of the boat and Ashleigh had a go but the trees on the bank got in the way!
We got them back to busy Skipton and they departed to drive back to Luton and then catch the train into London.
