As always we are up at the crack of dawn (the result of going to sleep super early) and relax with a coffee on our lovely terrace. It is so fresh and peaceful at this time of day – I wish we could freeze it in time. But today we are off to Montezuma, only a few kilometres away.
The shuttle picks us up on time and by 11:00am we are at the Casitas Sollevante, our home for the next four days. It is a gorgeous property with a breathtaking view over the ocean and over towards the ‘mainland’, as we are on a peninsula here.
We are very early to check in, however once the room is ready we are moved in to our lovely room. It is a nice size and has a unique bathroom as the shower is open to the outside – fantastic!!
Order of the day, relax by the pool and then around 1:00pm, the owner drove us in to the little town of Montezuma so that we could buy groceries. Hunger pangs and the heat of the day took us to a nice little beach bar with great smelling food and a nice ocean breeze.
A couple of hours later we are back at our delightful hotel and plunge into the pool. The pool overlooks the ocean in the distance and makes a very stunning sight. The only sounds we hear are the chattering of many birds and other visitors talking.
The sun sets at 6pm and with no TV to distract us, we are sound asleep very early!
