|So I arrived back in to Bangkok on Saturday feeling very stressed, Jennifer was coming into town and even though I had checked and rechecked her flight information I still had this nagging feeling that somehow I had the days mixed up. The previous night I had woken in Hong Kong with the feeling that she was arriving Friday and not Saturday. Meaning that I had left her at the airport by herself in a foreign country for more then 16hr's. Man, was I stressed out.
Got back into town, checked into the joint to make sure the reservations weren't f'ed up somehow. You know, things happen. Specially when there is a language barrier. But the room was there and the guys at the joint had actually given us a half deceint room. Said hey to a few folks and jumped back onto the bus to back to the airport. A full 3 hours earlier then I had, whoops.
Jen finally go thru customs and was out by 1:30AM Sunday morning and we were sitting on the curb having a beer by 2:30AM. Well actually I was since Jen dosen't drink and besides I really needed one at that point. But she got to see all the late night drunks and hookers, Katoys/ladyboys/transvestites trying to pick somebody up. Nothing but the best right?
Over the next few days we explore parts of the area surrounding Kho San and Bangkok. More then I had before on any of my previous stops in town. We found ourselves on taxi's, Tuk Tuk's, water taxies and busses. We were going to head to some of the islands but as we checked the weather we found that both sides of the country were experiencing some severe weather with flights and ferry's being cancelled do to the storms. North we went.
