The dam at the top of the locks is quite low - it's one of the dams that keeps the canal topped up, and they're saying that if we don't have substantial rain within a month they will lock off the locks and there will be no travelling through.
Traffic on the locks was quite busy this morning but we managed to get through with only a minor disturbance when a lamb fell into the water between 2 locks.
We had assistance from a CRT helper and he managed to rescue the little fella.
We've risen 69ft 4ins today - top of the world. weather is beautiful, sunny with a light breeze which is drying the washing nicely.
