Mission RV Park El Paso

Open Range

On the road again, I-10 is sure somewhere you would not to have vehicle issues. There is nothing for miles. They have exits, but there is nothing around them, just open range as they call it. The sun was shining and there was no wind, this would be a bad ride if there was wind. We pulled into El Paso around 1:00 pm and found a truck wash to get the home washed, sure was dirty. We go to the Mission RV Park and it is just camp sites with full hook ups but very narrow. Guess some people would have a problem with the narrow sites, we don’t, not if we are gone checking out the area. After watching the news this place sounds like another Memphis. I did not realize that El Paso was in the mountains, the drive didn’t appear we were climbing but we were, check the elevation and we were up to 4800 feet above sea level at one time. Now that is the best way to go up mountains, it didn’t affect the fuel mileage much and coming down I was up to 11 mpg, which was new numbers.

Not much going on with us today, just sitting back and relaxing. Sure is nice to break out the shorts with my very white legs, but that will change. Finally able to open the windows and let the breeze blow thru the motorhome
