FER:

Okay so let me tell you about our Beach Hut experience in Nueba, Egypt. (THis place is located near the border of Israel and Egypt. It was an 8 hour bus drive to get to Paradise. We stayed in what seemed as a Beach Village with about 20 people in it including the staff that worked at the Beach Hut. It was called Kum Kum (which means Tea-Pot) if anyone cares to find the meaning for this exotic word haha The place reminded me of the Swiss Family Robinson on Welfare. Don't get me wrong the scenery, the people everything was beautiful but the Swiss Family had a mansion in comparison to our Hut.

The Taxi driver that was showing us around was kind enough to show us where the DUTY FREE market was where we could buy certain necessities like (Beer, Whiskey,Coca Cola and some water in case we got thirsty in the 100 degree weather)

The People in Kum Kum where so friendly and relaxed, no one bothered remembering what day or time it was. No one cared, we were in Paradise and that was all that mattered. The Red Sea was beautiful you could walk for a long period and the water was still up to your knees. THe main attraction is the Snorkeling and Scuba Diving since the beach is completely covered with Coral Reefs. As some of you might know I do not swim so I had to use the floaty device while Fer pushed me while he swam. There were so many colorful fish, Sea cucumbers and slugs on the bottom of the clear blue water it reminded Fer of the movie "THe Blue Lagoon". On the other hand on the surface the water was calm a few jumping fish but this was the only thing I could look at since the floaty device would not allow me to go underneath =(

At night Asheesh the Owner of Kum Kum and the rest of the VIllagers (tourist like ourselves) came out. It was a huge buffet of things without planning it we had a Pot-Luck of Beer, Rum, WHiskey, Tea, Fruit, Cookies, cigarettes, VOdkah, Soda. We were an around the globe group with peeps from Israel, Egypt, Hawaii, New Zealand, Taiwan, Turkey and of course MEXICO WOO WOO =) Our fellow Villagers took out the African drums and a guitar and Asheesh was chanting Arabic songs. We all chanted in our language some sort of "EHH, UHHH, " you get the picture. Since we were far away from the city, the star view was amazing with shooting stars left and right, which BTW I kept missing since I kept talking to the people. It was a very hippie style village where everyone got along great, we read, played chess, swam (with the floaty of course)and ate delicious fresh FRUIT, Veggies and Fish (Finally) at a low price. Of course we had an excellent time in this beautiful Paradise.

I always have a bathroom story so here we go I will get a little personal:

As you know I've been eating A lot of BREAD so since I havent been eating my fruits and Veggies my stomach has been feeling extremely bloated. I decided to take a Fiber Pill =) on our way to the Kum Kum Beach Huts and just as we get there I start feeling a cramp in my stomach. "OHH OHH" I thought I must use the Bathroom at once. So I run to the bathroom and then (Insert Dramatic background music "TUN TUN TUNNN") the toilet is a Porcelain Hole in the ground. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Why me I thought why!!!! And this is how we are going to end this story. =)

Our next Adventure was from Aswan to Luxor.

We decided to book a Faluca ride (small boat) on the Nile River. We were here for 3 days. Remember how I mentioned Mother Nature was going to be the bathroom for the next couple of days well indeed it was. (No comment on this part of the adventure just imagine it). We met some wonderful people =) and shared many stories amongst each other. Then all was great until the Sunset hit and Darkness began... It is said creepy creatures come out at night and sure enough they did. While on a candlelight dinner which seemed very romantic and tranquil we spotted a black little bug running across our tablecloth, we thought nothing of it and let it get away. "Of course there had to be bugs we're on the Nile" we thought. So while we were sitting on the thin mat used as a bed, chair and table , I grabbed the flashlight and discovered our Faluca was infested with "COCHROACHES". What to do I thought?? I am in the middle of nowhere, I can either sleep with the Cochroaches or sleep outside where a wild dog can eat me. =) I went for the Cochroaches instead. We covered ourselves with insect repellent and prayed to all the Egyptian Gods we wouldn't feel anything crawling up on our nostrils or ears. And Yes we survived =)

Ok that's it for now, we're off to Bahrain but only for three days before we're off to India. Stay in touch everyone.

Caro and Fer =)
