Hawkers stalls for lunch

The Mer-lion at the harbor

Dinner at the harbor

Chinatown

Sadly we left Kota Kinabalu and Borneo, headed for our final stop before coming home: Singapore. Tan and I honeymooned there 15 years ago and many things have changed since then. The harbor has a new Mer-Lion and there are many more modern looking buildings including an opera/theatre house that is nicknamed "the Durian" because of it's spiky shape. We met our friend Ha there and spent the day on Sentosa Island seeing their underwater world and Dolphin Lagoon. That night we met up with another friend and her family for dinner in a lovely restaurant right on the water at the harbor. We walked off dinner in the cleanest Chinatown I've ever seen.

A 24 hour night market just down the street from our hostel was the perfect way to end the evening.
