2/9 – 2/12

Two more sea days and 969 miles brought us to our two day stay in Sydney, Australia. The first day we took a full day tour organized by one of our fellow passengers. The tour started with a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park where we saw some of Australia’s unusual animals including the Tasmanian devil, koala, wallaby and echidna (check out our photos). The next stop was the Blue Mountains (named for the blue tint to the air caused by the eucalyptus vapor). While there, we saw an Aborigines show at the Waradah Aboriginal Centre. Then a stop for lunch where Ken checked out the bangers and mash - sausage and mashed potatoes covered with gravy, good!!

The second day we stayed in Sydney and took a bus to The Rocks section of town. There we walked around the Opera House and also went to the Rocks Discovery Museum.
