Okay we'll get off.

We spent the day driving to the top of Pikes Peak, 19 miles of switchbacks up to an altitude of 14,110 feet. We had hot chocolate for lunch to warm up, since we were all freezing. It was 38 degrees at the top. We walked around and took some pictures and watched the Cog Train arrive. It started snowing, so we headed back down.

Near the bottom is the North Pole Amusement park. No way to pass it up with a 6 and 11 year old. We had to stop! Braxton waited outside as it was $19.00 to get in and he was not interested. By the way old foggies get in free.

All the rides are part of the admission as often as you want. Corn Dogs, Ice Cream, Popcorn and Cotton candy are extra. We thought maybe and hour and we would head home. We were there for 3 hours. It was fun, but Mammu and Pappa were worn out. (Pappa was in bed by 9:30)

Braxton waited patiently in the car. Thank goodness he had the Kindle, an Ipod and music to listen too.
