(Elena Writing) I had trouble sleeping the night before so I slept-in this morning to catch-up. We had a leisurely breakfast then prepared Da Honu for travel. We were sad to leave this place, it's a great campground.

We made a brief stop in Boyden to see the new Veterans Memorial in the city park. Then we continued east on H-18 to Sheldon, where we had lunch again at the Prairie Queen Bakery & Cafe. I again had their Tavern sandwich and Ron had their Turkey Club sandwich. We shared a cinnamon roll for dessert.

We drove northeast towards Sibley on H-60 then H-9 towards Spirit Lake. A large portion of H-9 really needs repair. It was such a rough ride that it "rearranged" items in our trailer. When Ron opened the refrigerator door, a small glass container fell and shattered into pieces. Luckily everything else in the fridge was okay. There were several items on the floor.

We headed south on H-86 towards Lake Okoboji. In his youth, Ron and his friends would occasionally come here for a church camp, to fish, or to enjoy a fun day at Arnold's Park.

Tonight we're staying at the privately owned Fieldstone RV Park in Arnolds Park. It was drizzling when we set up camp. Later it rained hard. The manager of the RV park said they had 1.5" of rain last night. We have a much better internet connection here than the previous campground. We "Skyped" our friend, Norm, after not talking to him for couple weeks. For those who may not know about Skype, it is an internet application that uses a microphone and a web camera, on each person's computer, to create a "picture phone" connection. This service is free over the internet and allows both parties to see and hear each other quite plainly if you have a high-speed internet service.

We're looking forward to discovering the "Iowa Great Lakes". Stay tuned!
