We left the Loire Valley this morning heading south and arrived at our next destination just after lunch time . We are at another well preserved and very busy village from the 8th century. On some of the front doors are small walnut branches - we have learnt that these are placed there on St. Jean's day (June 24th). It's a tradition from the middle-ages and refers to the cure of walnuts which the people in Uzerche used to fight the epidemic plagues. We all enjoyed the traditional food served at our hotel for dinner tonight.
Uzerche is part of the group of one hundred most beautiful detour towns in France.
