Jordanelle State Park is located about 12 miles from Park City, Utah. Jordanelle Lake is fed by the Provo River and is a major boating and camping recreation destination for the area. When I first decided to spend some time in this area I was unsuccessful at getting reservations at this campground. It is very popular, especially Thursday thru Sunday, so I made reservations at another private campground. Once in the area I drove here in the Ranger and found out that if I came in on Sunday afternoon after 3:00pm I would likely be able to get a site for two nites. I was here at 3:00 on the dot and did get the site that I'm now in. With some help from the Camp Host and the Ranger I have been able to extend that thru Friday, the 17th. It seems that there are good people everywhere that are willing to go out of their way to help others. What a magnificent campground and lake this is, and all of this at $18.00 per nite including water and electricity. Large private sites which are very well maintained, most of which have a view of the lake, or surrounding mountains, or both. Utah deserves great credit for this campground. This one rises to the top of the stack of the ones that I've visited so far.

The weather has been in the 50's at nite and the 80's during the day with an almost constant breeze blowing off of the lake. Campgrounds like this one are what I pictured in my mind before I took off on this adventure. May there be many more like it.
