Looking out to sea

Not our boat!

The "boys" on the beach

By checking on the internet we found the ship carrying the motorhome had arrived safely in Southampton on Sunday. We therefore knew it would be several days before the coach would be cleared through customs and could be collected. So we had to be patient.

On Sunday we had an enjoyable walk along the beach close to where Kevin and Linda live. It was chilly and breezy. Tony's brother Phillip and Jules joined us for tea. Again a catch up on all the news.

We checked out one of the local campgrounds we had visited twelves months ago and made our first campground booking for August. Our niece Kim, Linda and Kevin's daughter, is getting married on the 18th August and we needed to make sure we had a campground for the event. We also wanted a campground for getting ourselves sorted once we finally get the coach after it has had its conversion etc. The campground was very busy for when we were likely to need it in March but if they couldn't help us when we had a firm date they suggested another campground which was also able to take our size rig. We went and had a look and although a little noisy and not quite as nice it could easily accommodate us so we had some options for March.

On Tuesday lunch time we heard from our agent handling the import that our possessions in the motorhome had been cleared through customs and she was now waiting for the arm of customs and excise clearing the vehicle. Hopefully on Wednesday the coach would be cleared.

Must be patient!
