Well we are finally here - This is one of the highlights we have really been looking forward to and it is hard to believe we are actually here. We arrived in Uluru at about 1.00 this afternoon after an overnight stop over at Erldunda Roadhouse. We drove straight up to the Rock with the caravan still attached! We had a good look around the Cultural Centre and fell in love with an Aboriginal painting in the gallery which we ended up buying. We then booked ourselves in for a tour with an Aboriginal guide tomorrow morning, then finally decided we should head to the caravan park to book in. Quickly did that then set out to view the sunset over the rock. It is very well organised - a long row of angle parking along a good stretch of the road with space in front to set up your chairs to enjoy the view. Magical - that would have to be the best word to describe it. Have to keep pinching ourselves that we are really here.

Will do our tour at 8.30 tomorrow morning then will continue on around the base - supposed to take us about 3-4 hours so we should be nice and fit by the time we finish.
