|The 150 mile drive to Mammoth Lakes was especially beautiful. Miles and miles of mountains surrounded us on all sides. The vista was limitless. The many tones of brown and green were accentuated by the bright yellow Sierra Wildflowers. We passed through several quaint old towns from the 1800's and marveled at their rustic beauty. The highway seemed to float off into the distant blue sky. We finally arrived at Mammoth Mountain RV Park and set up our camp. Nancy Wolf treated us to a most special dinner at Novatos, a highly rated restaurant in the area. We dined royally on Barramundi in pumpkin crust, and Cioppino which was especially good. WE shared a bottle of Sterling Cabernet. Bill and I shared a fruit mousse for dessert. It was a very special treat for us and so nice of Nancy.
