The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We spent a week near Leamington Spa the nearest decent campground to Northampton. Tony spent a few days helping our friend Lynne in repairing her garden shed while Heather caught up with cleaning and washing.

We had three visitors: Mike and Ellen who used to house and dog sit for us when we lived in Northampton: John and Pauline long time friends from the Northampton Gilbert and Sullivan Group: and Pat an old work collegue of Tony's again from Northampton. We had an enjoyable time each day catching up.

We also have one day when we enjoyed a walk along the canal in Warwick and a visit to Kenilworth Castle and Elizabeth Gardens. The castle ruins are best known as the home of Robert Dudley, the great love of Queen Elizabeth I. Dudley created an ornate palace here to impress his Queen in 1575. English Heritage has recently authentically recreated the original Elizabethan Garden.
