We walk to breakfast. We get back on the Interstate long enough to pass Fargo and Moorhead City. We stop at the Minnesota Welcome Center. We exit the interstate to Route 10. This is a great highway.
We are not in Minnesota long when I ask John, “Do you notice?” He reads my mind. “You mean that everything is green.” That is exactly what I am thinking.
At Detroit Lakes, we have three choices. We can go north. We can go south. We can go straight east. I choose straight east. It is not my best decision. The secondary roads are paved but bumpy.
Everything is familiar as we near Breezy Point. We stop for lunch and buy John his fishing license. We settle in at our campground for three nights. They rent boats here.
