|The weekend consisted of tournament baseball games. They started at 9:00 in the morning and went till midnight. It is fast pitch softball with double elimination. Teams from 4 hours away were playing. It is quite a crowd for the little town of Whalan.
Larry spent the weekend catching up with old friends and classmates. The boys watched the games, fished, tubed the river and played with the other kids. Come bedtime Jay struggled to stay awake long enough to brush his teeth and change. He was begging to go to bed. See....Mom, it's not hard to get them to go to bed! :) 12 hours of fresh air and play.
Lanesboro is another small town just 4 miles up the road. The boys would take showers at the Library. We would run to Lanesboro for ice or other needs.
If you can...google "Minnesota Root River Valley" and see how beautiful it is.
Again.............95 degrees, 60% humidity. UGGGGGGG! Think I prefer the 'dry heat' of Arizona.
