Pirateland Campground

We pulled out of Charlotte Camping World Campground around 10 am this morning for our drive to Pirateland Campground in Myrtle Beach SC. The drive was alright until we got to Darlington SC and the road was closed with no detour, which was nice of them. Not sure how we got around it but we did and it cost us an extra hour driving. Other than that it was a nice drive until we got into a rain storm about 20 miles from Myrtle Beach. Traffic was slowed to a crawl because it was raining so hard. We finally arrived at 4 pm, took a lot of time for only 184 miles but we are here. It was still raining so we got checked in, drove to the site and waited until the rain to stop to get hooked up. Carolyn was not here yet because she got caught up a couple of traffic jams but she got here around 6 pm. The ended up getting set up a downpour of rain so they were soaked when done. It must have been quite a drive since they had 6 people in the truck, Dan, Carolyn, Abby, Colby, and 2 grandkids. Carolyn was fit to be tied when they got here. The rain did not stop, hope it will clear up tomorrow so everyone can enjoy the beach and pool. That was it for the day.
