September 3

After breaking up, and paying the bill, we left Bad Kissingen with a stopover in Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber. A nice old town in super Bavarian architecture, from medieval time. This is the most Bavarian you can get!

Lousy weather (cold and rainy) forced us to visit it the American way, "it's Thursday 11:00, so this must be Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber".

Took a few pictures, the Asian way (from behind the windscreen) and left this Bavarian gem for our next stopover, Lindau am Bodensee.

The driving went flawless, refueling from time to time, the car needs gas, lots of gas, remember!

After an uneventful trip through Bayern, Baden-Württemberg and Bayern again, we arrived, leaving the Autobahn some 500 meters before the German-Austrian border, in Bodolz(Lindau) at the hotel. A nice family-owned establishment, with fantastic restaurant. The chef's restaurant has a remark in the Guide Michelin!!!

The weather turned from lousy into terrible, with continuous rainfall, so we decided to visit the Island of Lindau, by car, what else!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable that you're allowed to drive through an old city center by car!! This is seriously typical German. No other country would ever allow this.

Nice by the way, to drive with a 5 meter SUV through these narrow streets, more particular, if you find out that the street you just turned into appears to be a dead-end street!!!

Hungry @ 17:00!!! A Thai restaurant drew my attention, and since I'm the one who drove us into this place, I was authorized to decide, yes!!!

We had a fantastic menu, for a reasonable price!

Back at the hotel, I parked my car, next to my car, see picture

From the car park, I could hear my pillow screaming and calling after me. We slept deep, within the shortest possible time. Knowing I left Germany behind, in one piece.
