|After several delays due to repair issues with our RV, we finally left Dallas (Plano) on Wednesday. This first night we stayed at a KOA campground in Amarillo where we have camped many times before.
When we picked up the RV,Stan noticed a tire seems to be losing air. We checked it each time we stopped and by this morning decided it was definitely in need of repair. This turned out to be a lesson in patience and communication.
We first went to a Love's Truck Stop that advertised 24 hr tire service, but were told they didn't work on RVs due to liability issues...we should try Wal-Mart. On the way we passed a station that advertised "Complete Auto and RV repairs". They apparently did not include RV tires in their idea of "complete". We were told to go to Discount Tire. We found the Wal-Mart, but again were told they did not work on RVs.
About the time we had decided to just go on and hope it didn't blow on the way, we saw the Discount Tire. Unfortunately the tire couldn't be repaired, so first day out we bought a new one and drove on to Santa Fe.
