Here we go again—back to Italy, to board one of those Italian Cruise ships that like to inform all their passengers in their native tongues in the above order. Hopefully by the time they get to English they are not too tired, then we will also get to know what is happening.
Yes, to all of you who followed our earlier TripJournals, I did say we had retired from tripping around the world but Herman has other plans and where HE goes---I go.....
This time we fly out of Brisbane to Milan and back out of Rome with Korean Airlines who are kindly giving us their hospitality on our 20 hour stopover in Seoul on the way out to Europe.
A sleep in Milan is followed by a train trip to Venice for 5 days. We will be there in their 'Acqua Alta' season so you never know you may see us floating out into the middle of the lagoon!!! Another train trip will see us in Genoa for one day where we will be boarding the MSC Sinfonia (1554 passengers) Our itinerary will see us call into Spain, Portugal, Canary Isles, Morocco, back to Genoa then out to the Greek Isles, Turkey, Malta, Sicily then back to Genoa followed by 4 days in Rome--dressed in its' Christmas splendour--we hope--then we fly back home, just in time to wash our clothes and fly out again to Sydney and Adelaide to have Christmas with the girls and their families.
